Experienced executive and institutional investor
I bring 30 years of experience as an executive and leader in the financial services, technology, and nonprofit industries, and as an institutional portfolio manager investing in growth companies at all stages. Before moving to Park City, Utah in 2018 to embark on my own life transition, I spent 16 years with Columbia Threadneedle Investments in Boston and Singapore, following years as a professional investor in San Francisco and Chicago. I served for two years as the CEO of Columbia’s Asia operations and co-managed an outperforming $8B growth equity fund for over a decade. In these roles, I worked with hundreds of executive teams, from leaders of the largest companies in the world to aspiring entrepreneurs.
Since moving to Park City, in addition to starting Altivist Executive Coaching and Altivist Consulting, I’ve served on the board of the Park City Angels investing network, as a member of the Pando entrepreneurial community, and as a Mentor in Residence for the University of Utah’s PIVOT Center. I have also held leadership roles with a Utah-based technology company and the National Ability Center.
I’m passionate about my coaching work and committed to ongoing development in my engagements with clients. I hold an advanced coaching certification with the Hudson Institute of Coaching in Santa Barbara, a pioneer in the field and one of the most respected coaching institutions in the world. I’m also a certified coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the global industry standards body.
Married with two teens, I spend as much time as possible exploring and enjoying the mountains and wild places of Utah. I’m an avid skier, mountain biker, hiker, and fisherman and always enjoy sharing the outdoors with others. I received my undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. I’m also a three-time graduate of National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) programs.
